Symposium and Media Conversation on Kidnapping and Terror

The Global Alternative Agenda invites you to a media conversation and symposium with the theme: Tackling Kidnapping, Hijacking and Terror

The program is hosted by as part of the Seminar Series on Emergent Issues in 21st Century Security and Intelligence.

In view of the current upsurge of kidnapping and terror in Nigeria with the alarming proportion at which the crime is spreading all over the nation with the reference to the recent kidnapping of high profile people in Oyo and Osun States respectively.
However, the December period is the most dangerous month for kidnapping when criminals need money for Christmas and the New year festivals.
There is, therefore a need for proactive collaboration with law enforcement, intelligence community, media, civil society organizations, policy makers and citizens on how to combat the menace of insecurity in our society. Hence, the discussants will focus on:  Situational awareness and understanding, social media exploitation, forecasting, warning and strategic assessment
